Checkout ticket protection covers you if you can't go, for example if you're ill. It usually excludes the gig itself being cancelled by the artist, promoter or venue. Then the ticket is refunded by the seller, but your travel and hotel aren't.
It would be provided by a UK insurer authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. Upgig designs the cover and spots the cancellations.
That's the plan: if the date moves and your original trip is wasted, the cover would pay for it.
